How could we not be proud of the mental toughness of this relatively young team that battled (clawed would be correct) to the finish line, even with a disappointing loss? Personally, I see nothing that would indicate each and every member of the coaching staff and team don't want very badly to win. A loss is a loss, as they say, whether by 1 point or dozens....and no, I'm not here to favor moral victories. I just doubt most of our fan base would have been surprised to leave "the enemies" fieldhouse in Lawrence with some embarrassing point deficit, and that didn't happen. Bruce Weber, his staff, and team worked their rears off today.
BTW.....Ron and I have moved back to Manhattan, from Glendale, Arizona, and are we ever glad to be "home" after what was planned to be a five year stint there. EMAW.....Mrs. Ron
