Work is a little slow this morning so I decided to do some number crunching.
When we have a first down and more than 4 yards to go (I wanted to exclude goal line situations) we are averaging 5.21 yards per carry (excludes sacks which I consider more of a pass play) in Big 12 play.
Hubener: 16- 110 - 6.875 (3 carries for no gain or loss)
Jones: 23 - 144 - 6.26 (2 carries for no gain or loss)
Cook: 10 - 58 - 5.80 (3 carries for no gain or loss)
Silmon: 18 - 45 - 2.50 (5 carries for no gain or loss)
Dimel: 2 - 2 - 1.0
Total: 70 - 365 - 5.21
In these same situations we are completing only 33.33% of our pass attempts.
Passing: 12-36 (33.33%) 200 yards (72 on one play to Jones), 1 interception, 5 sacks
