We all sort of expected this was the case, but I can now say it's certain. Straight from Coney Durr's mouth last night, the Minnesota commit admits that K-State is still recruiting him and it sounds like that communication has been open probably from even before the dead period.
To get anyone up to speed in case you ignored Durr's recruitment after his Gopher pledge, in a not so surprising twist the cornerback isn't exactly firm with Minnesota it would appear. He's taking an official visit to North Carolina this weekend and has been linked to other major southern program recently too (Tennessee & South Carolina). He even made sure to tweet about watching the Liberty Bowl too.
In addition to Durr, Minnesota is also dealing with the losses of both Elijah and Elisha Daniels. While that would seem like an open door for and increased role for Durr, it actually could hurt the Gophers because he had developed a strong bond with the twins and they were a partial factor (allbeit minor) toward his commitment. Add in the decommitment of Eljah Battle and I believe Ski-U-Mah has now lost 3 DBs in 2016 class. Durr would (and could) make 4.
