I would love to get some dialogue and interaction on the following:
Can we agree people through history have wanted to rule the world? Mostly men, but I don't want to rule anyone out.
Now, up until the 20th century, the method of conquest was by way of bullets and bayonets. Now, basically colonization was limited to what could be accomplished on land except the British empire of the 16th to 19th centuries was a maritime empire - "the sun never sets on the British Empire."
So, the vast majority of people want to live in peace, provide for their families and be a productive member in their respective community.
What drives these people to want to tell everyone else what to do? Can we agree military might alone can't accomplish world conquest? Do all the wannabe world tyrants no longer exist? By what means can they accomplish their goal?
If you say no more men that want to rule world and have the means to do it, then human nature has changed.
What say you?
