I had been thinking we have a very young team(which is true) but also all sorts of talent coming back. I just looked over our roster and started getting worried on defense. But I know that may be just that I am not that close to the program. So a question to the board, but first some points:
Secondary- Adams, Newlan, Shelley and Reese got significant time I believe and I saw Goolsby out there at times. We have about 10 other DBs on the roster, most of whom I did not recognize at all(had heard of Mack, Durham, Noil).
LBs- Had heard a lot of Rudzik, Sizelove, and Tanking, and virtually nothing about any of the other 5 LBs (though Sullivan is a heralded frosh I believe). Not sure how much playing time the first 3 saw though.
D line- Dishon, Geary, Ball (in special situations), Seiwert, Walker and Wood all have plenty of playing time under their belts, but again the other 10 I know little about (though Massie seems to be getting lots of pub).
So my questions are how much time did the linebackers Rudzik, Sizelove and Tanking get this year? And for all three position groups, do we really know anything at all about the rest not named above? This looks to me like based on known quantities we can just barely staff a first team, and depth is always an issue for us. This comes not from a "sky is falling " point of view, but just asking those of you closer to the program what you know about the rest of the roster. Thanks for any input.
