This has become a disturbing trend that has emerged this year. WR’s were one of our deepest and most hopeful positions for a good year going into the season.
As a collective whole they have been flat out a non factor and a glaring weakness . Top receiver again is Deuce and the TE is second. Hard to tell on TV but what I did see Was they were covered and not getting separation and the routes they ran looked fairly weak. When Howard scrambled I didn’t see much of an attempt to go to open space and create. Balls that were catchable were dropped at first contact. Not sure what the issue is coaching ? Scheme? Ability ? Attitude ? All of the above? Something is not right with this group. We saw them make plays last year so we know they have ability. @Derek Young i know you have been critical of their play as well. Really curious on your take and others with a deeper analysis and expertise. I feel like a lot is coming together to have perhaps a special season but we need this WR core to step up and perform for that to be a possibility. Can’t expect to continue to win prize fights with one arm tied behind our back.
