I was taking a look at Mississippi State = NOT GOOD = the Bull Dogs return most of their starters.
Miss State finished last year with a 9 & 4 record and a win over Louisville in their bowl game.
The bulldogs were 4 & 4 in the SEC, lost to Bama in Week 10 by 7 points (24 to 31).
The dogs got blown up by Auburn & Georgia early in the season.

Miss State's starting QB & RBs return from last season.
Their entire offensive line returns.
Most of their WRs return (minus 1 starter).

They bring back their entire D-line (including a DE that had 10.5 sacks last year).
2 of 3 starting LBs return.
4 DBs return that started at least 6 games.
Starting kicker is back

It appears that they lose 1 starting DB and a couple of other senior DBs that were part-time starters.
A part-time starting Tight-end.
1 starting WR.
And their starting Punter graduated.

Side Note: their starting QB (Fitzgerald) was 16 yards short of 1,000 net rushing yards and 218 yards short of 2,000 passing yards = and he missed one game.
Oh yeah, he will be a senior this year.

K-State gets 1 game with new coaches / new starters / new schemes before facing a very seasoned Mississippi State team.
K-State will only have 6 new starting players on defense (fudge).
But there is a little bit of good news = Mississippi State has a new head coach & staff after Mullen left for Florida (new schemes of their own).

I'm all for playing one good opponent in the non-con, but the timing isn't the best with Miss State. Though next year, perhaps the timing might favor K-State.

And no, I'm not ready to throw in the towel (ha), but make no mistake about it, Miss State is going to be a very tough out. BSFS is gong to need to be loud and proud.

GO STATE !
