Granted, stats are greatly skewed early in the season by the level of competition a team has faced.
WV has had a tougher schedule. That said, Mizzery looked awful in their first game against WV, but BYU was a tough opponent.
K-State had a tough game with Stanford, beat down FAU far worse than #14 Miami, and had a laugher with Mo State.

Perhaps the most interesting stat is that K-State has a better scoring offense than WV (and that's without a half game). If you were to assume that K-State would have generated 200 more yards of offense and 21 more points in the 2nd half against Mo State, K-State would have the #63 total offense and #15 scoring offense.

WV's defense:
As noted, Mizzery didn't look too good in Week 1, but the Tiggers still managed to generate 462 yards of offense against WV.
Youngstown State was able to generate 405 yards of offense against WV.
BYU generated 521 yard of offense against WV.

If you believe defense wins big games, K-State should be in good shape.

The other thing that isn't reflected in K-State's offensive numbers (besides missing a half game of production) is how much better the offense appears to be playing since week 1. Ertz is starting to coming into his own (showed some speed and much better passing against Mo State)... the offensive line is starting to build chemistry... and there is plenty of talent at the skill positions.

One thing is for sure, we will find out just how good K-State's D-secondary is against WV.

I don't know if it will be quite like 2012, but I have a very good feeling about K-State's chances come Saturday.

BRING ON THE CATS !!
GO STATE !
