MONDAY DECEMBER 11
- Assistant Jon Fabris meeting with Zach Petersen. Iowa has assistants seeing him today as well. So far, still visiting KSU this weekend.

- Bill Snyder, Sean Snyder and Blake Seiler are all visiting with Will Honas. Frost was there last night. Iowa including Kirk Ferentz will see him Wednesday. NU official visit is possible this weekend.

- KSU linebacker coach Blake Seiler also expected to see Dayven Coleman tonight. He did not make his scheduled Colorado visit over the weekend. However, he's already taken his visit to Arizona and they were in to see him on Monday night, along with K-State. Illinois saw him Sunday and he visits the Illini this upcoming weekend and still plans to sign in February.

- Andre Coleman was in to see E.J. Turner tonight. Turner announces college choice Dec. 18 or Dec. 19.

- Jonathan Lolohea remains committed to Washington State despite speculation. There are no plans for K-State to come see him this week according to him.

- Tom Hayes was with Wayne Jones tonight.

- Collin Klein visited Crook-Jones and Cherry at Grandview today. A poster also shared he was at Highland C.C. as well.

TUESDAY DECEMBER 12
- Will Honas' Nebraska visit is set for this weekend. Honas was visited by Bill and Sean Snyder last night in addition to Blake Seiler.

- LB coach Blake Seiler then hopped on a jet to be in Texas to see Dayven Coleman. Coleman was also visited by Arizona coaches last night. He still plans to sign in February.

- I'm told that Bill and Sean Snyder were also on the jet to Dallas with Seiler. And they did another in-home visit with a prospect down there. Trying to hunt down who right now. So, yes, Bill Snyder conducted two in-home visits last night.

- Despite speculation, nothing is happening with JuCo DT Jonathan Lolohea. Yes, Alex Grinch may leave WSU which would cause him to look around but Kansas State has not been in contact at this point.

- Hearing Iowa is out for Zach Petersen because they do not have an Ag program. They were in to see him yesterday, as was K-State coach Jon Fabris. Petersen still is scheduled to see Kansas State this weekend. It seems to be a pretty tight race, and even between ISU, KSU and Illinois right now. Petersen's father played at Iowa State, one of the coaches there at that time is the one recruiting him for KSU, and Illinois is the one school that has delivered him a scholarship that goes into effect immediately. Illinois offer is not a grayshirt and that could rule the day.

- An official visitor this weekend is Butler C.C. fullback Luke Sowa, who is committed to Bowling Green. It is protection against the possibility of Winston Dimel departing.

- Spoke to Highland C.C. head coach Aaron Arnold about Collin Klein's visit to see the Scotties yesterday. No real targets at the JuCo program. It was more of a stop to say hello, keeping up appearances and relationships (VERY IMPORTANT SO GOOD MOVE). Klein had told him that they were basically wrapped up with the '18 class.
Arnold even had a JuCo DT for him in his opinion but the KSU assistant said they were not looking.

- Blake Seiler is staying in the state of Texas. Dallas last night, Houston tonight to see Arizona State LB commit Jacoby Simpson. Also, Simpson has told KStateOnline.com that he does indeed plan to sign somewhere December 20.

WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 13
- Blake Seiler visited with LB Jacoby Simpson in Houston last night. Things are progressing rapidly and KSU just might be the favorite to land the ASU commit. Simpson said it will have an impact that Phil Bennett is departing Tempe.

- Iowa high school defensive end Zach Petersen will have a lot of Iowa State coaches in to see him at his wrestling meet.

- JuCo LB Vernon Dasher of Coffeyville C.C. is taking his official visit to Ole Miss this upcoming weekend. His K-State trip was last weekend.

***UPDATE: LB Jacoby Simpson has now de-committed from Arizona State.***

THURSDAY DECEMBER 14
- We have confirmed that Georgia high school DT Derick Newton will indeed take his official to K-State this weekend. His playoff game is Friday night so we are expecting him to fly out on Saturday morning.

- Tom Hayes was also at NEO on Tuesday in Oklahoma and saw cornerback commit Darreyl Patterson and his teammate Kevion McGee.

FRIDAY DECEMBER 15
- LB Jacoby Simpson now wants to hold off signing with a school until February and plans to see a few more programs on an official visit.

- FB Luke Sowa and DE Zach Petersen should be arriving in Manhattan today for their official visit.

- I expect DT Derick Newton to arrive tomorrow.

- Also have confirmed there is a surprise visitor on campus now. We have not identified the recruit but we believe it is a noteworthy one.

- Here's an additional recruiting note: Former class of 2017 commit Tancey Richardson has now re-classified as a class of 2019 recruit and will be attending Fort Scott C.C. this year.

SATURDAY DECEMBER 16
- Defensive end Zach Petersen has yet to arrive in Manhattan for his official visit. He went undefeated on the wrestling mat Friday night in the Battle of Waterloo so he and his North Scott team have advanced to the Saturday competitions - as all the bracket champs compete for the top 4 spots. Petersen won his first two matches via pin in under 2 minutes and won his third via forfeit. Because of this, he will likely not make it to K-State until tomorrow.

- Derick Newton's Coffee High team faced Lee County in the state championship last night for the Class 6A title in Georgia and lost 28-21 in overtime. He's still scheduled to visit K-State and should arrive sometime later today.

SUNDAY DECEMBER 17
- Zach Petersen should be arriving to campus today for his official visit. Wrestling meet delayed his arrival.

- Newton, Sowa and the surprise visitor should be leaving today.

- Sowa has de-committed from BGSU and strong intel suggests that K-State offered him on the visit. Sowa has also revealed now that K-State did indeed offer.

MONDAY DECEMBER 18
- JuCo LB Vernon Dasher has returned from his official visit to Ole Miss. I'd have the SEC program as the favorite headed into his Wednesday announcement.

- WR E.J. Turner should be making his college announcement either today or tomorrow.

- DE Zach Petersen and DT Derick Newton ended their official visits last night.

- WR Ronnie Bell of Kansas City made his commitment to Michigan, despite not visiting.

TUESDAY DECEMBER 19
- DE Zach Petersen made his commitment to his father's alma-mater, Iowa State, last night.

- WR E.J. Turner should be making his commitment at some point today.

- FB Luke Sowa should be deciding at any time.

- CB commit Lance Robinson has been offered by TCU today, a day before he is set to sign with the Wildcats. Despite the additional option now being on the table, Robinson has told KSO that he still indeed plans to sign with Kansas State Wednesday.

- CB commit Lance Robinson has also now been offered by West Virginia. But his plans are still to sign with Kansas State Wednesday (tomorrow).

- As expected, WR E.J. Turner has committed to K-State. He's #14 for the class.

THIS WEEKEND'S OFFICIAL VISITORS
- Butler C.C. fullback/tight end Luke Sowa - a BGSU commit.
- Douglas (Ga.) DT Derick Newton
- Eldridge (Iowa) DE Zach Petersen
- Fort Worth (Texas) All Saints Episcopal School WR Brendan Harmon - a Rice commit.
