Like it or not I like what Bill Self is saying, but in my mind this is the only way you protect Amateur Sports in College,

CAP the NIL at $500,000 during their college career plus a free education. They can buy their own new car & pick out the one they want.

Doing so cuts out the corruption of buying National Titles, giving the kids the money they want at an amateur status, without making them feel guilty about doing something wrong.

It cuts down these Portals from getting so far out of hand. Stats just came out on Twitter saying only roughly 54% of the Portal Players actually find a new home, since the Portals started.

It gives High School Kids and JUCO prospects more wiggle room to go to the next level.
We are seeing the number of players from both areas cut way down, because of Portal Transfers getting 1st status, while many of them are left out.

You either control this now, or Amateur Sports will eventually be destroyed. College Sports would then become a joke if you don't get a grip on the out of control backstabbing that will happen.
FWIW I'm surprised no one is actually addressing this.
