1) First 5-on-5 stuff in practice began this past Saturday. Before that, they were practicing. But much of it was modified and in very, very small groups. So, the coaches were essentially running four or five practices per day. It did allow for more individual instruction, though, which could benefit a younger team.

2) Basketball players, coaches and other personnel get tested for Covid once a week. It'll ramp up the closer it gets to the season. At this point, nobody on the team has tested positive for Covid-19 since they all have been on campus.

3) It's a little fresh and early yet, but two noticeable jumps from when they first convened until now have come from guys already in the program in Mike McGuirl and Dajuan Gordon. Obviously, it is a long ways from a starting lineup being configured, but these will probably be two locks. They're anticipating a big year from Dajuan.

4) Based on what we have heard, at least one of Selton Miguel or Nijel Pack will likely start. Pack is probably the better guess. Those two have been the best frosh up to this point.

5) Davion Bradford is taking it seriously and taking the necessary strides. He is getting leaner and he has cut weight. Doesn't mean we're expecting huge things from the jump, but he has done what they have asked thus far in that department.

6) Seryee Lewis is someone that has probably overachieved since he arrived on campus. It sounds like he will be the player that will eventually out-perform his ranking. He could be a factor off the bench as soon as this season because of how hard he works, the energy he plays with and the kind of motor he has.

7) Luke Kasubke had surgery to repair a tendon in his foot. It will be about a three-month recovery from the sound of it. Not ideal, but it is what it is, and he'll have time to get back into the swing of things. There's not as much concern about athleticism or anything being affected long-term since there was no break.

8) It sounds like the medical issue that plagued Antonio Gordon for a while is a thing in the past. Obviously, that stunted some development and growth he could have made otherwise, though. He'll have a battle on his hands to be in the rotation this year.

9) Although the 5-on-5 stuff has been limited so far and they're just a few days into a lot of work being done, it sounds like they feel good about where the shooting is at thus far. They'll know more when the bullets really start flying but they're excited about what what they have seen and believe it has a chance to be elevated over what has been the case the last few years.

10) Still not hearing on the football front but it sounds like they went 2 for 2 on having no new players subjected to CoVid-19 protocols and procedures this week. They should have their results from the final test of the week in a few hours. Less concern about this game than the first two from that standpoint (knock on wood).

11) Still will publish walkthrough for football to give some details on what I'm hearing and stuff. Since 2:30 game, that will likely come tomorrow morning.

Hoping to push recruiting notebook today, too.
