7 different investigations, including the recent Republican-led House committee investigation, have found no scandalous wrong-doing by the Administration on Benghazi and have discredited nearly every GOP conspiratorial claim. Yet Boehner has asked for another committee to investigate it. The GOP is requesting $3.3M for this action, more than for the Committees on Veteran Affairs, Ethics, and - if extrapolated out for the full year since it didn't start until May - Intelligence.
So to the House GOP, investigating a single event that has already been investigated 7 times is more important than overseeing the problems with handling veterans, monitoring ethics, or even overseeing intelligence which has had a few high profile whiffs in the past couple of decades. I'm sure if 7 full on investigations into the tragedy didn't find anything scandalous, the 8th will! What's the definition of insanity again (and stupidity and wasting money)?
