Some of you have seen my local HOA drama on the Twitter, but the last 24 hours has me just absolutely dying laughing and I thought I'd share.

So, about a month ago, local HOA sends out a "newsletter" of a new "fine policy" they drafted up. All sorts of crazy shit they want to be able to fine you for. No discretion. Each offense is a fine, and the fines escalate up to $1000 for some things. If you don't pay, they file a lien on your house.

I led a small revolt, was one of 5 people to say this is a really, really bad idea, don't turn the neighborhood into Little China, potential for abuse, etc. No one spoke in favor. They were VERY offended we would challenge their authority and passed the policy unanimously last week.

Fast forward to the last 24 hours, there has been an absolutely epic series of meltdowns on the community Facebook group.

There were kids in the pool area after it closed and they trashed it. (Posts picture of a single banana peel outside the pool gate.)

There were high school kids with a couple friends from outside the neighborhood at the pool today. They didn't have an adult with them. HOA lady apparently kicked them out and threatened to call the cops on them. Mom of said teens went to the pool, asked if her kid was causing a problem, and the adults present said no.

Then there were kids driving through the neighborhood hanging out the windows and throwing shit on the street.

But the one that sent me over the edge tonight:

"There is a white cat, in my opinion terrorizing the neighborhood."

😂😂😂

It is taking everything I have to not troll this to death.

Are all HOAs this crazy?
