We all know KSU has had difficulty executing against the zone throughout this entire season. We know we don't have an abundance of proficient outside shooters, and that explains a lot of the struggles. What we do have though is a couple of decent slashing wings in Iwundu and Edwards. They're not elite drivers or passers so anytime our opponent throws the zone at us, their slashing ability gets negated to a large degree.
I was just lobbing some ideas around in my head and was wondering where could we put these 2 to best take advantage of their strengths? Well, the high post is almost always vulnerable against the zone, and if you can securely get the ball to a player in that spot with decent playmaking skills, that player can usually do a lot of damage. Could Iwundu and/or Edwards thrive if we put either of them in the high post?
Not saying this is the answer, just trying to think of an adjustment that could help us.
