Pass defense

I heard the announcers talk about missed assignments during the game. Seems to be a fixable issue. I would think the coaches would spend a lot of time preparing the players for the games each week. Arizona apparently has good receivers and a good passing game. It would make sense that we anticipate the schemes they use and stress assignment responsibility. I wouldn’t use last weeks game film much but rather some of last year’s games. But I’m a novice when it comes to coaching.

Too much hype......

Okay, guys....hang on, as you know my opinion is worth exactly what you are paying for it! :)) How-ever, with all the hype that has gone into our team being very good, depth chart almost unending, and being led by a "mention" of Heisman Trophy candidate q-back, Saturday's Tulane game was not only difficult for me to watch, I was beyond disappointed. There were definitely bright spots, or we would not have won the game....period. I get quite tired of coaches (all of them) starting their post game interviews with "We just came out with a win (or loss) against a VERY good (whoever) team". So seldom do we hear that our team played poorly, was coached poorly, and made the other team look good. How excited I was, think most of us were, to have the impressive roster and be looking to beat the livin' socks off anyone with courage to show up. It's early, I know, and "we're gonna correct some things".....boy, I hope that is right. I live 'n breathe purple, looking forward to the improvements and a win over Arizona for starters! I think Tulane is a better team than Arizona

Watched parts of the Arizona/Northern Arizona game last night. My conclusions.
(1) Arizona OL bad. I mean REALLY bad. Fifita running for his life on the majority of passing plays last night. Besides being completely unable to give Fafita even a little time in the pocket, they did not open many holes for the RSs. Arizona had 188 yards rushing for the game. This includes the 70 yard run on the first play of the game where the LB completely whiffed at the line of scrimmage. I mean completely. Because the OL was not able to do anything, Arizone repeatedly had to settle for FGs in the red zone. KSU D should be living in Arizona backfield Friday.
(2) Fifita with big arm but likes to throw into coverage.
(3) Arizona receivers scary!
(4) Arizona defense looked OK but nothing special. They did what they should have against Northern Arizona. The week before they were torched by New Mexico though.

IMO, Tulane is better than Arizona.

Update on AJ Dybantsa following his official visit

It's been a few days since AJ Dybantsa took his official visit to K-State, where he was on the sideline for the football team's win over UT-Martin. If you haven't seen it yet, here is him with four-star TE commit Linkon Cure, who also visited that weekend.

Now that the visit is over, here is what I know about the visit and what I think:

I know the visit went well with Dybantsa, and he left incredibly impressed with what K-State have to offer. I don't know the specifics of his visit, but K-State did well to showcase what they needed to showcase to Dybantsa. And I know the NIL budget will be competitive with the other teams, especially BYU.

I have reason to believe K-State might be one of the top schools in his battle. I don't know if they're No. 1, and I'm hesitant to call them favorites because it's so early, but they are in a really good position for Dybantsa.

This recruitment is nowhere close to over, though. He's going to take his visits, and you'll likely see some reports that "team X is in the lead" or "team Y is the team to beat" for most of the schools. But K-State is in a good position, and they could position themselves to be the leaders at some point -- I just don't know if that's now.
