Was watching the 2000 KSU vs. OU football game....and the cupboard seems empty compared to that 2000 team. I can't believe I complained about Jarrod Cooper and wishing Jason Kazar wasn't a starting LB. That defense had Beisel, Fatafehi, Chris Johnson, J.Butler, D.Carter, Ben Leber, Jon McGraw....with Josh Buhl flying down the field on kickoff coverage. And the offense had Quincy, A.Lockett and M.Wesley has WR's. The announcers were all giddy when David Allen came in to provide a spark versus Josh Scobey. Scobey was a muscled up 205 pounder that ran downhill....4.4 speed. Ahhhh....those were the days. Count me in the camp of our recruiting has been sub par the last few years....and count me in the camp with those who think it is possible to recruit talented players to Manhattan.
