here is another take. He is more valuable to the royals because he fits into their team concept, fairly fast, good fielder, great arm, average bat. He is a little different because he strikes out a lot compared to most of the guys. On another team they want outfielders who have 30 home run power. Other teams are not into the Royals mode yet.
When i was scouting we used to say,you can shake the guys who are great fielders out of trees. Corner outfielders are where you play guys who can hit the ball out of the park. Same for corner infielders.
