Saw today where Apple is going to price their streaming service (Apple TV) at $5/month. Disney and Netflix's stocks are taking a hit today, as a result.
I know we've discussed the trends in cable-cutting over the past several years, but this has to be the best possible news for consumers, does it not? It sure seems like the streaming services are going for a "race to the bottom" on pricing and are just going to try and weed out competition by seeing how long their competition can stand to lose money at this low of monthly fees.
Netflix, at $15 or whatever per month it is, has to be just shaking right now. Because, everyone around them is setting the market much, much lower.
