A friend of mine still works in the football complex on staff. We worked together in the strength and conditioning program for a bit a few years ago. Not that this is breaking news and usually he is hush hush about everything.
Per him, there has not been any plan for Snyder to leave after this year. Everybody in the athletic department has expected Bill to return and there has not been any search. I know not ground breaking, I just never really asked him until today. But we can expect Bill back next year.
However, the good news is he knows Leavitt still wants the job and Jerry Kill still would like to have something to do with our football program health permitting ( assuming same position he had before) .... so the the Twitter rumor is true... Doesn't know who the source would be considering everybody has to be hush hush or lose their job..of course who knows if Leavitt would want to come if it takes another couple of years for the position to open
That being said, he fully expects Sean to take over. Not much would change but he thinks the coordinators would be changed out. I asked about recruiting and operations he just replied with "the same."
Nothing earth shattering but confirming what we already know..
