I was wondering who here has had any major career changes or gone back to school as a non traditional student. Any advice, good stories or regrets anyone would like to share?
Here’s mine. I got my Bachelors from k state in 2011 in economics. Didn’t really know what I would do with it. Tried sales for a while and hated it. I went back to school to get an associates in Radiologic Technology (x-Ray tech) and finished that in 2015. I’ve been doing that for about 3 years. I realized that I didn’t want to do that forever, so I am starting a masters teaching program through k state this summer to teach business. Part of the reason I wanted to do this was so I can put my bachelors degree to more use. I’ve been fortunate to have great support from my family and my wife’s family to be able to pursue all of these shenanigans. Let me know if you have any questions about my story, I’m pretty open.
