It looks like the Big 12 is leaning toward a proposal brought to the table by Iowa State on how to do divisions.
Divisions will be for two years and then reseeded based on a two year conference record. 1-3-5-7-9 in one division and 2-4-6-8-10 in the other. Once seeded the schedules for the next two years will be created. As many cross over games as possible will be scheduled early in the season.
If this was done based on the past two years then it would look like this.
Records for '14 and '15 seasons
TCU 15-3
BU 14-4
OU 13-5
OSU 11-7
KSU 10-8
WVU 9-9
UT 9-9
TTU 6-11
ISU 2-16
KU 1-17
So the Divisions for 16 and 17 would be
Div 1 = TCU, OU, KSU, UT, ISU
Div 2 = BU, OSU, WVU, TTU, KU
Then after the 17 season reseeding would take place again for the next two years.
