I put in a FOIA request today for Bill Snyder's contract to see if there were any amendments to it. Got a response that included all of his contracts since 2009, and there is no amendment to the one available online. So, I then reached out to the athletic department to see if the January 31 date (the day that is stipulated that the financial agreement expires) was a cut-off and was informed it is not. Was told it's a target date to come to a new salary agreement, but that his contract will roll past that date at his current agreement until new terms are agreed to.
Long story short, the theory that the contract is playing a role (one I believed) seems to not be the case at all. A couple of awfully good sources made this clear to us.
