Breontae Matthews reached out to me today to let me know that he'll be making a trip to Manhattan this month while he's on break. Don't know many other athletes who use their time off from school to go and visit another one, but I think it's a wise and mature decision.
He says he expects to stay 3-4 days in the Little Apple and is hopeful he can work his visit around the weekend of March 19. My guess is he'd crash with friend and fellow JUCO signee Abdul Beecham, who is already on campus of course.
In related news, Matthews also added that his academics are progressing just fine this semester and he's on track to officially arrive at K-State in June.
