Coach says Baylor has great guard play and great role players that all share the basketball and have a lot of talent. He pointed out that they had 14 turnovers against the Bears. He hopes the Wildcats defense can be better. He thought the half court defense was better against WVU, now just have to cut down turnovers and play good defense versus such a good team like Baylor. Turnovers and missed shots have been a killer for K-State.

Pack hasn’t played hoops for 17 days. Coach worked him out Sunday and he got tired quick. Worked him out yesterday and he was still huffing and puffing. Said it took Antonio a game and four or five days of practice to really get his conditioning back up. Coach doesn’t know if he can go for 30 minutes but could see him somewhere in the 20 minutes but will see how he does at practice today.

Coach wants his guys to make the simple plays. Says if they can do those things then the strategy can come into play. Said they have to get some inside touches. Says the big guys efficiency is much better than the guards.

Coach says they lost by infinity the first time against Baylor, doesn’t know if they can get much worse than infinity. All they can do is try to improve, take care of the basketball, compete, and keep fighting.

Joe Petrakis has been put on scholarship for this semester. He’s had to do a lot of things for K-State especially this year with COVID and has had a great attitude.

Coach says they have had to keep their spirits up. His wish is that they can get into some rhythm with some guys back. He thought they had things going alright before Pack went out with the flow of things and then when he went out they fell off. He just wants to see how they can finish the season and see the progress that they can make.

Coach hopes with the vaccine available that by the summer things can get back to some normalcy.
