I don't know if this is me being a cocky kstater and yet we haven't had a whole lot to be cocky about recently. We should have the pick from the NDSU and KSU coaching staff unless people are being elevated at NDSU(new NDSU Head Coach). Moving up the coaching hierarchy is still a thing right? With that said....
I understand coaching jobs/positions are fluid. My very opinionated opinion...
I think most agree Blake Seiler looks like the next head coach at a program.
Where things are now, I would love for Blake Seiler to be moved back to the defensive line as CO-Defensive Coordinator.
Collin Klein knows the running game and therefore should be back there as a running backs coach or he could be pushed to the receivers coach being a quarterback. Not sure I love Collin at QB coach over the guy right below here. Collin seems to have the ability to cruit' at a higher level then we have been seeing. Does Collin deserve to have the CO-OC title still? Not sure that is so.
Sounds like Hedberg is a hell of a quarterbacks coach with what he did with Wentz and now Stick. Seems like a natural fit for me. Come on down QB coach.
Brian Anderson has already coached wideouts, so why wouldn't we have him there? This has me the most recently stoked as coach with some experience much like Norwood. SOME NEW BLOOD. He has seen success and failure. I would be hopeful that he would see this as an opportunity to get his career in a more positive trajectory. His stint at Minny didn't really have a whole lot to with anything he did wrong for losing his job. Out of his control.
Conor Riley seems like a must when it comes to offensive line coaches! Again, this is me being an FBS snob, but movin on up.
Brian Norwood has impressed many here. I am not sharing that opinion, except for his willingness to get in front of players to recruit. That just may be because he had the most experienced unit on our team. To me it is a Joe Klanderman or Brian Norwood decision. I would be ok with either that Klieman chooses. I still get nasty taste in my mouth over the whole Baylor history. Maybe that was just a head man thing.
Jason Ray vs. Andre Coleman I do not get the love for Jason Ray. I understand the frustration with Andre Coleman, but the dude has got us some players out of Georgia! I am probably being generous to Andre Coleman but he has had really mixed results as a CO-OC. The only positive I see with Ray is that he has coached more places then Coleman. He also doesn't have a super bowl ring or Georgia players to get into. Anyone that yells KC to me has to understand that he still hasn't proven he can recruit there for FBS.
Not sure on Messingham? This is why Klieman makes the big bucks, put people in the best positions.
I will take a pass on Buddha Williams with the hope that Blake Seiler moves back to defensive line.
