Welp, my wife, at the young age of 53, has enrolled at UNT to finish her teaching degree. Driving up to scope the place out and get a feel for it really triggered some flashback memories... going to orientation in the summer of '75, the heat & humidity, my folks moving me into Marlatt, the heat & humidity, my first Chem I lecture at 0730 in a blinding thunderstorm and somehow making it to the right place, and the heat and humidity. I asked her if she wanted me to go to the parents' orientation session.
Let me say this - I'm thankful for the fact that UNT is a very compact campus and is laid out very well. My wife's in incredible shape (she did the Goat Neck charity bike ride last weekend - 70 miles from Cleburne to Glen Rose and back), but hiking between buildings in 10 minutes or less is not meant for most 50-somethings.
Anyway, enough musings of a really old Cat (aka 'tuck') vicariously reliving his youth through his smokin-hot wife. She's my hero as well.
