Do people forget this is a young team?

We have 37 players from out current offensive/defensive depth chart likely returning next season. We only have 3 starters off of our offense and 4 off of our defense that will exhaust their eligibility this season. The returning players have shown they are capable of competing at the Big 12 level (3-3 in conference with 2 VERY CLOSE losses this season). I think they are likely to be improved next season as they continue to mature, develop, and gain experience. That is how things typically seem to work in collegiate sports. Do most of you calling for immediate change not see what we are building? Do you think these players will regress under Snyder?

I have been encouraged by the performance of many of our young players. With what we have returning next year, I think we are likely to be a Top 25 team and back in the Conference Championship hunt if we have coaching stability. I love the idea of our 78 year old coach having a last hurrah and having the ability to go out on a positive note with a team he put together. If we switch horses after this season it is hard to know what next year brings. Coaching changes often bring with them growing pains. I don't want to see next season sacrificed for a new coach. I think next season could be special.
