I think I found it.

This writer believes the NBA, and its players, would be better off if the draft was eliminated and players were free to choose whatever team they wanted to play for. Why, do you ask?

Because apparently a lot of NBA players suffer from depression, and for the sake of mental health, we need to forsake competitive balance in the league and keep players happy.

I can't think of a quicker way to ruin an American sports league, than trying something like this. It's amazing how dumb (and super woke) this take is.
