Flying up to SFO from PHX today I finally got a chance to start my way through the new Powercat Illustrated. That is always a pleasure. You know I love you and so much appreciate your good work. But none of us are perfect....
You finally sorted out "Vince Gipson" halfway through the lead story.
But apparently you're a little too young to remember the banner that hung through the 60s beneath the high press box in Ahearn. "Every Man a Wildcat" was in play for a long time before Vince What's-his-name showed up!
In a side note, my flight to SFO was adjacent to a flight to Oakland. There were purple shirts all over the place.
Southwest gave me the chance to pick my seatmate. A good ol' boy from Topeka.
He understands that you can't be a Wildcat and ever cheer for ku in anything against anybody.
Then, we were talking with a couple over dinner and had the same conversation.
Somewhere along the way, a few fans went soft of the birds. But it's great to see mainstreamers still get it!!
**Everyone** here as a good feeling about the game Friday night. We shall see.... I have a really good feeling here. I think it's going to be a game we remember in our happy thoughts forever.
