I'll admit to making to some comments about what I thought your stance on Bruce Weber was. Then today. I actually took the time to listen to the basketball portion of your podcast. You actually have made legitimate points that at this point in the off season. That I have to agree with you.
We can't risk firing Bruce Weber at this point in the basketball off season with all of the mass defections and try to turn that mess over to a new coach. I believe you are very much correct in your reasoning that a new coach would probably lose our recent commits and possibly some of Weber's already signed recruits for next year. It would then be near impossible for a late coaching hire to scramble and recruit anybody of worth for fielding a team next year. Thus, we would likely scuttle the next coach's chances of turning K-State back into an NCAA tournament team in the near future.
So, the best course of action at this time is to keep Bruce for next year. Let him try to bring the players he & his staff have been recruiting all season long. Then I again agree with you Fitz. Bruce Weber needs to come in next year restore order win 20 games & make the NCAA tournament. If he does not accomplish that hefty task? Then he needs to be shown the door and a new coach should be brought in to take over the K-State basketball program .
