Wow! Fitz has been brutally honest (on Sports Daily in Wichita) about Marcus. Apparently he was not liked among the players, and last year created many, many problems. Fitz used some pretty strong words to describe how difficult he made things in the locker room - certainly not anything that those of us casual observers could see.
Yesterday Marcus was in the athletic office trying to find a way to declare for the NBA draft.
Fitz is talking about recruiting, now that we have no proven scorer, no main rebounder, no ball handler. We have some nice fundamentals, but not the marquee player. Perhaps Juco transfers combined with other recruits will be able to fill in.
They then talked about WSU and KU . . . and how KSU has fallen out of the conversation.
Very interesting discussion . . . sounds like this might be addition by subtraction!
