Officiating rarely impacts college football games. Tonight was different. This was like a Big 12 road basketball game. What a joke of a crew and officiating job. They were CLEARLY looking to call holding on us consistently throughout the game. To me it was pretty obvious that they were keying in our guys at the line of scrimmage. They pretty much decided the game when they called back to back holdings on us in OT. Yes, we could've still made some plays to come back from that, but those two bullshit calls dramatically impacted the game. We were on our way to scoring a TD to force them to do the same and the refs decided to step in.

That's not even counting the personal foul roughing the passer they called on us and the holds they missed on them...including their scoring drive to tie the game. How about the missed hold in the first half when they had a 25+ yard gain late in the half? Or the missed false start they didn't call on their TD at the very end of the 1st half? Monumental missed calls. Not once did they call UT for a hold and they called it on us, what, 5 times? You can call holding on every damn play. There was no "evening out" in this game. What a freaking joke.

And for those who don't want to call out the refs and just want to put everything on our shoulders...yes, we made mistakes and didn't play or coach great. Ultimately, it is up to you to overcome officiating with good play. But you shouldn't have to overcome such lopsided officiating. We fought hard to be in a position to win that game and I feel like the refs greatly influenced tonight's outcome. And that is rare in college football.
