jl had his contract set up that he could leave early with no buyout for only one school. pretty much unprecedented. it all happened about the time hcbs found out up his cancer..i have no sources to validate this but would imagine before structuring a contract like that, bill and jim talked. the only question is when will jl comes to k-state
