There will be mildly encouraging wins, like a road win at ISU, a win against TCU, maybe even a big home win against KU (doubtful). These slight glimmers of hope will be interspersed with head-scratching losses and embarrassing beat-downs. Come late February we'll be sitting around .500 in the conference and solidly on the bubble after a day one exit in the Big XII Tournament. We'll win a play-in game against Coppin State that will be more competitive than it should have been and then lose by 25 to Arizona in the "real" tournament. We'll have our annual spring debate about whether Bruce should be terminated but eventually his contract will be extended because he got us "in" the NCAA again.
