When a guy decides to transfer, is he just on his own to contact schools? If he is sort of pushed out, can/will the coaches from the school pushing him out work to find a landing spot for him? Is there some sort listing (formal or informal) where players and schools can kind of match up with each other?
I feel like I hear a lot about transfers, but I don't actually know how it works.
