The Big 12's current ESPN contract states that if the league were add 2 additional schools, ESPN would have to pay the Big 12 an additional $500 million dollars, if 4 schools are added, ESPN would have to pay an additional billion dollars
What Do You Do?
You add both Cinci and Memphis (2 schools that have a lot of potential) to help build a bridge to West Virginia, make 2 divisions and a title game, get paid 500 million bucks by ESPN
Use that 500 million dollars buyout the Longhorn Network (which has been bleeding ESPN), create the Big 12 Network, and fund the new Big 12 schools.
