Look, QB is the hardest position to play on the team, not only are you an instant leader, everything you do on every play has an instant impact on the game. You have to understand that even thought not everything worked out perfect for Howard, he is a TRUE freshman the that didn't get the benefit of a spring practice, Summer practice, nor a full complement of fall practice. He has only had about 25% of the reps that a normal starting QB has in a given year and he has no experience at this level other than practice reps against our #1 defense. You need to temper your expectations and understand that this is a free year of training for someone that is straight out of HS and is now playing against upper classmen for the opposition. He won't be perfect, but he is managing the game and not losing it for us. He is our future.

He has ZERO I MEAN ZERO help from the receivers. They should all have their asses ripped. No separation, dropped passes , can’t hold on at all through contact, no ability to stretch out plays to give him a chance. Howard isn’t the problem. First career start at TCU isn’t an easy task. Have you ever watched a GPatterson defense? Athletes all over the place. Schemes better than anyone else in this conference. Decent game management. Didn’t lose the game for us. You can look at some of the decisions 5* Rattler has made in the last few weeks as poor game management and losing it for his team.
