There's a lot of talk especially on the other board that the Leavitt story was leaked by Currie.
I suspect Currie thinks about KSU as much as you think about your ex. Rarely. He's a busy man, with a good paying job and his own coaching search going on. I don't think he would have the time or any interest in dabbling in KSU inner politics.
Honestly if anyone benefits from the story leaking and getting people talking, it our current AD, agents of prospective coaches, and whoever gets the HC job.
There was plenty of talk here and behind closed doors about the direction of the program. The Leavitt story popping up got that discussion out in the open, a nice testing of the waters before jumping in, or not for the AD. Also a little push for HCBS on making a decision.
It just comes off as petty to blame the former AD, I mean if it's true, I blame everyone involved that the story hadn't come out before. It's not Woodward and Bernstein's fault watergate happened, that was Tricky Dick's fault.
