Let's look at P5 conference teams that went on the road this weekend:
Miami (FL) won at FAU 44-20.
Oregon State lost at Michigan 35-7.
Wake Forest lost at Syracuse 30-17. (conference game)
Minnesota won at Colorado State 23-20 in OT.
Washington State won at Rutgers 37-34.
Notre Dame won at Virginia 34-27. (Virginia was handled by UCLA pretty easily in Week 1.)
Georgia won at Vanderbilt 31-14. (conference game, with Vanderbilt coming off of a loss to Western Kentucky)
Iowa won at Iowa State 31-17.
Oklahoma (19) won at Tennessee (23) 31-24 in 2OT.
Pitt won at Akron 24-7.
Arizona (22) (who was outgained significantly in yardage by UTSA and only won a close game over UTSA in Week 1) won at Nevada 44-20.
Missouri (21) won at Arkansas State 27-20.
Kentucky won at South Carolina 26-22. (conference game)
Oregon (7) lost at Michigan State (5) 31-28.
LSU (14) won at Mississippi State (25) 21-19.
UCLA (13) won at UNLV 37-3.
Kansas State won at UTSA 30-3.
Also, though not a P5 team, Boise State (20) lost at BYU 35-24.
Obviously there were some teams who played much better teams than us, but the point is, nobody goes out and wins 57-6 (circa 1998 Michael Bishop-led beatdowns) on the road. If that is what you were expecting out of this game at UTSA, I guess you're disappointed. Otherwise, I don't understand why so many seem down and pessimistic about our season expectations after a solid victory on the road in Week 2. We had a QB making his first ever start (not just road start, but start), and it took awhile to get things rolling. By the second half, we were physically dominating that team. We have lots to work on, but this team has a lot of potential.
