Reportedly, one of the state's top 2018 prospects, Norton's Jace Ruder, has reopened his recruitment after being committed to Tulsa since December.
I do not know how this impacts K-State, but the Wildcats have offered already. They actually extended that offer before he committed to Tulsa, so I'm not sure this de-commitment has as much to do with him wanting to look at someone like K-State as it does him wanting to look into some of his newer scholarships. Those would include a flurry of recent major offers from the likes of North Carolina, Florida State, and Georgia.
The Wildcats appear fine at quarterback for the future given the maturation of Alex Delton and the clear talent of Skylar Thompson, but they're squarely looking to add one for the 2018 class given the offers they've already extended. Ruder would be a priority given his local connection.
