The Tulane/OU game on September 16 might be interesting to watch for one reason.
OUInsider: Willie Fritz named JUCO transfer Jonathan Banks his starting quarterback exiting spring ball. What can we expect out of him, and will he upgrade the Green Wave’s signal caller position?
"Signing Banks was a high priority for this staff. He was a 4* recruit out of high school and was in contention for the QB job at Kansas State a while back but fell out due to an illness that sidelined him for his season in Manhattan. Fast forward, and he had a productive JUCO season last year and quickly established himself as the frontrunner for Tulane.
I think we all have a lot of confidence in his ability to make plays with his feet. The ceiling for the Tulane offense, in my opinion, will be set by what he can show with his arm and if he can build chemistry with his receivers."
