One thing I have noticed with a couple of friends in old school SEC locations and having lived there, the conference puts aside petty family issues when they play outside the conference. For their conference to be strong and perceived better, they need to win whenever they play OOC. Even if Auburn hates Alabama they do root for the other team to win a NC because that reflects well on the conference and thus on them. IF the Big XII is to ever make it beyond the next 5 years, all the teams in the league need to take this mentality and so do the fans. I will always HATE KU, but them winning a NC only helps our league. Same goes for Baylor winning tonight. We need our conference to be perceived as strong and viable or it will be a dead carcass that has the bones picked clean in a few years when the next real round of alignment takes place. It will also help if/when we look to add a couple of teams and be able to pick the best and dictate the terms of those teams joining instead of begging and giving them incentives to join. So this football season we need OU, Texas, OSU and yes even KU, as much as I grove in their indignity when attempting to place DI football, to win as many OOC games as possible. That is especially true should we be the Big XII winner and wanting a place at the Playoff table.
