Wells is Matt Wells’s brother and coached with him at both Utah State and Texas Tech, where he served as the TE and inside receivers coach.
He most recently coached in college at Tulsa, serving as the TE coach in 2022. Also has stops at Houston and Iowa State and Louisiana-Monroe.
Wells was most recently the offensive coordinator at Bixby (OK) High School, helping the school to a 24-1 record.
