Other than Bill Snyder, what is it?

I'm just curious why in anyway our fans think that K-State can expect to consistently compete for conference championships unless we get lucky with our next HC hire. It seems K-State has more inherit disadvantages than advantages.

I guess you can say that we have an avid fanbase but it's a small fan base without a particularly large amount of wealth for donations. Anyway TCU is showing how important that is. Recruits would rather live in Ft Worth on a good team than have fans.

Tradition helps some but K-State's tradition is good not great and tradition didn't prevent the downfalls of Nebraska and pre-Saban Alabama.

I guess the only one I can think of is that admission requirements are low and it's probably the easiest P5 school to get into to.
