I suppose we should throw out some kudos to Brownback. He has so epically screwed up the state of Kansas that other Republican governors are refusing to go as big, citing Kansas as a cautionary tale. In the same way the first person to take poison dies deserves credit for showing what not to do, we owe Brownback a thank for taking a poison that everyone now sees as such. Of course, it's a shame his experiment had to hurt millions of people, but at least we (hopefully) now know better - at least other people know better, since Kansas still voted to take more poison.
