Trying hard to be objective, I have reviewed and analyzed last night's "ball-control" foul that cost KU a possession at a critical point in the game. Here is my finding:
In reality, the call should have been a no-call:
(1) neither team had possession as it was clearly a loose ball,
(2) the KU player was merely going for the ball, and
(3) the ensuing contact was simply incidental.
I'm well aware that KU gets the benefit of calls during the season, but this should have been a no-call.
