Not huge news, but I saw Fran tweet this out earlier. At least the Big 12 was able to "get rid of" another terrible ref in basketball. I know he didn't only work Big 12 games, but it's nice to not have him calling games anymore. Now if we can get rid of Doug "Teach me How to Dougie" Sirmons and "Pretty Boy" Higgins, we'll be making some progress. Is DeRosa still officiating our games? He was really bad too. At least Higgins sometimes likes to stand up to Self and the Allen Fieldhouse crowd.
General rule of thumb on Big 12 refs or refs in general: if we know your name, it's a bad thing 99% of the time.
I know, I know...complaining about officials even BEFORE the season starts.
