Their game may not have anything in common (ha), but a couple of pictures that I’ve seen of Isaiah Maurice remind me of one of my favorite players during the Woolridge years, Jeremiah Massey.
Massey always looked like he had just crawled out of bed..ha. Not meaning to crack on Isaiah, but a couple of pics that I've seen, make me think the same thing. Just a meaningless observation and others may disagree.
Massey would crack me up with muscle flexors after scoring a big bucket ... he was fun to watch and was a good player. Back when Bob Knight was broadcasting Big 12 games, he really liked Massey's game (senior year).
Note: Massey was just a tad over 6’7”, whereas Maurice is listed at 6’9”.
Hopefully Maurice will have a better career at K-State than Massey had (Massey was a juco transfer - played 2 years at K-State).
Speaking of Massey, he is closing in on a 10 year pro career (mostly in Europe).
Per wikipedia, Massey was declared the most spectacular basketball player of the Euroleague 2006-07 season and was named to the All-Eurocup Second Team in 2012
Appears that Jeremiah is playing for a Pro team in Beirut now.
GO STATE !
