I haven't seen any articles from Bruce Feldman lobbing darts, or quality "reporting" from Gridiron Now (without an author's name even attached) linked to this but I think there's smoke where there's fire.
Think about it, Coach Snyder's Cadillac has Missouri plates, an employee at one of the Columbia Taco Bell's thought they served a man who resembled Bill Snyder last Tuesday morning.....Coach is headed back to the Show-Me-State to fill Pinkel's vacancy. It's time for Coach Snyder to bring back the single-wing he executed as a freshman buried in the depth chart to old Mizzou.
Coach Snyder gave John Currie plenty of ample warning and also informed Currie that his vocal & public push for his own son to inherit the job at K-State was nothing but a smoke screen. We all know Currie is a Maverick and never does things by the book, so it's reasonable to assume he manufactures his own lists of candidates 100% independently but may let a few names leak out to "bona fide" members of the national press with reputable outlets. Bobby Bowden contacted ADJC directly to inform him that elderly coaches, or coaches even over the age of 40, cannot win at this level. The leading candidates, as of today, are Lamar Chapman, Jarrod Cooper, Josh Freeman, and Joe Lawson......"inside sources" speculate that ADJC will go outside of the Snyder Tree and pursue Rece Davis.
Expect a formal press conference tomorrow morning.
