I really enjoyed getting to see some of the twos and threes this game.
A.J. Parker - I think he started, but he is still technically a two. I thought he played with confidence and did not hesitate. More physical than he looks. I thought he covered well.
Walter Neil, Jr - I thought Walter looked assertive. Aggressive defender on the run. I don't recall watching him much in coverage.
Eli Walker - Man, he just get there in a hurry and seems to be a very physical run stopper. He took a bad angle on coverage and gave up a reception, but you could see his length when he laid out for the shoestring tackle.
Dalvin Warmack - seems to be progressing. I liked how he ran today. Give us decent depth.
Mike McCoy - good Lord, flat trucked a safety on that last TD run.
Justin Silmon - seeing all these running backs do decent today, I almost forgot they are stuck behind this quality guy who didnt see action today.
TE, In General - We really have some physical TE/HBack type depth. Saw alot of TEs get time today and none of them that I watched shy from contact. We are going to be a tough team to deal with late in games.
Breontae Matthews - Seemed like we didnt drop off a whole lot with his play. Opinions?
Kaltmayer - seemed to do a nice job today. He seemed to get to the second level well for a big guy. Hard for me to tell too much with the level of competition.
Elijah Sullivan - dude is sudden and plays stronger than some of our larger linebackers. He shows amazing burst when he decides where he is going. Absolutely smoked a guy on kick coverage. I havent been disappointed with Kirby's speed, but he seems to get stuck on lineman and doesnt use his speed to get out past them in time, first reaction doesnt seem fast.
Kick Cover Team, In General - The depth of talent on our team is really showing on this unit. We have a lot of good sized guys who are attacking the returner. Looks to be a very physical unit.
Depth at Receiver - Schoen is going to be an important guy for this program moving forward. He seems to be a bigger version of Curry Sexton
Drew Wiley - does not look like a freshman
Skylar Thompson - I can't remember the last time I felt this good about our #2 QB.
Carlos Strickland - Good to see him get a few reps. Surprised they didnt redshirt him, maybe he didnt have one available? Just his first game, can tell he is still learning.
Chabastin Taylor - is he playing?
Sorry - longer post than I thought it would be
